Secretary’s Report – May 2021

After a recent reminder notice, the membership office received a flurry of renewal statements and online applications. On a daily basis all renewals are processed and mailed or left at the front desk for pick up for those who request. For members who do not received their cards before their next visit, please confirm with the membership office.

If after hours or on weekends, a list of current paid members will be available at the front desk. Current membership as of March 31, 2021 is 3974 which, while reflecting a net loss, is probably due to the lingering uncertainties of COVID restrictions.

However, based on medical leadership’s forecast of the vaccine efficacy, a membership increase is anticipated for later in the year. Although we are currently experiencing an uptick with infections, medical leadership is advising to maintain protocols and let the vaccines do their work!
