Aloha Members. It is that time of year when we get the opportunity to express our rights as members and vote for officers and director position. As this year has been one that has been overtaken by the renovation I’m proud to say that the Elkdom mission still persevered. Though the fellowship element was a challenge at 616 because of renovations this year has been highly successful in fulfilling the total mission of what we are as a Benevolent Order.
Our Elks National Foundation, Major Projects, Scouts and Veterans committees made great strides in achieving and in some cases, surpassing the goals set forth by our Exalted Ruler. But all this has no guidance until you show up and vote; for that I want to thank all of you who make as many meetings as you can to participate in the direction of your lodge. As well other funded committees who have been successful in their mission also have you, the member to thank; you voted.
So now it is the time of the year when your vote as a member of Elks Lodge 616 in continuing the mission of the lodge both charitable and day-to-day functionality. On our February 13th lodge meeting nominations will be announce of which voting for candidates will be February 27th at the lodge meeting.
If you have a desire to dedicate your time, spirit and guidance then please think about getting involved by running for a directors or officer position. You can be part of a volunteer team that continually shapes the future of our lodge. Looking forward to getting you from the opinion side of the discussion to the actions side.
