The Kupuna Committee has been busy fundraising and planning upcoming events and activities. It’s been fun! Committee members demonstrated the making of dish gardens and string lei then sold them along with Wili style haku lei and wristlets to members attending the Elks Luau.
Funds raised were donated to the Major Project and ENF Elks charities. Kupuna member and master florist Ululani
Young donated two beautiful floral arrangements for the occasion. This month the Kupuna will man a booth at the Senior Fair, the 34th annual The Good Life Fair that’s held at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall September 21-23. Admission is free. There will be more than 275 exhibitors showcasing interesting products, services, facilities, programs and organizations
designed especially for the 50-plus community. Visit the fair and stop by the Elks Kupuna booth to say hello and spin our wheel of fortune.
In the coming months we will be planning our annual Halloween luncheon in October and the Waikiki Holiday parade trolley in November. Our monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 1pm. Check with the front desk for further information.
