Great fun, food and camaraderie was had by all at the Kupuna Committee Chinese New Year luncheon.
There were six courses of tasty food. plus Gau Chinese New Year cake – for desert. Good luck new year candy, lucky money en- velopes and jade dog good luck charms were distributed as guests checked out their Chinese Zodiac signs and talked about some traditional Chinese New Year customs. Kung Hei Fat Choi !!
Lodge elections are over and the newly elected officers will be installed on Sunday, March 18th at 11 am.
In spite of the inconveniences and disruptions caused by the needed renovations Kupuna were very happy to have been able to successfully launch the following events during this past Elks year; Filming two more half hour segments of Kupuna Stories to be aired on Olelo* Lei Workshops, Estate Planning 101 presentation, Christmas in July Bingo Fundraiser Member Appreciation Day Booth, Kahumana Farm to Table Tour, Halloween Luncheon Chinese New Year Luncheon

The Kupuna Committee also made the follow- ing contributions to our Elks charities and to Community charities. $2000 to the Elks National Fund – $2000 to the CEA Major Project Distribution of more than 250 dozen individually wrapped Enjoy cookies to the Veterans Hospital, Next Step Shelter, Anchor Church and the Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center.
