KOKUA NEEDED – ASAP
In reading the Aloha Elk, over the past 5 or 6 months, you know of the success of our Boy Scout Troop 616 and Cub Scout Pack 616. For those of you whom have purchased popcorn or had your car washed mahalo for your support.
We have 15+ trained, award winning and dedicated leaders for the Cub Pack and the Scout Troop; an amazing group of diverse folks, working together on building youth character, community service, patriotism, etc. Notice how the Scout Mission parallels that of Elkdom?
That said OUR obligation as Elks to our scouting units is to insure their continued success. We must assist in recruiting more Cub Scouts, ages 5 – 10 and Boy Scouts, ages 11 – 18).
Five (5) Eagle Scouts have aged out this year; more camping and field trips are coming up, so have your keiki come join in the fun and learning.
Our Cub Pack 616, grades K – 5, meet at the Lodge the 2nd Saturday of each month at 4:00 p.m. That’s 11 February. They also have an outdoor activity monthly. Give Jan a call at 347 – 3127 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Scout Troop 616, grades 6 – 12, meetings are every Sunday 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Lodge. It’s Debi at 391 – 4740 or email@example.com for the details.
We have a fantastic Scouting program. For 2017 lets make sure it remains stronger than ever. Mahalo.
