Elks Renovation Update. Out with the old and in with the new.
The big equipment with the tractor ram-hoe are gone and new cement floors, plumbing, electrical walls are going back in.
We did come across two pieces of human bone remains. It appears the bones were in place be- fore the Castle Home was built. The State was notified and we engaged the services of a archaeologist/osteologist to work with the State and our contractor to make sure all the details were followed properly. Bones were also found on this site in the early 1900’s and again 27 sets of bones were found when the New OCC was built in the 1960’s
Progress on the renovation project is still on schedule and vendors have placed orders on most of the finishing build out equipment, so hang in there members, we are on our way form completions early next year.
