Happy New Year!
As we start this New Year, we have added a new member advisory group to support the Board as we are now responsible as the House Committee. The House Committee is now made up of four Lodge Officers and five Trustees with the presiding officer as the Chair.
The newly created Recreational Facilities Advisory Group (RFAG) is made up of ten volunteer members. The group was formed to vet any requirements, policies or issues related to the locker rooms, fitness facilities, pool, surfboard and canoe racks. Once vetted, the group will make recommendations to the House Committee for action or not.
To start, the group will meet weekly, with the goal to meet on a monthly basis depending on matters at hand. If you have constructive suggestions or questions, please email them to us at RFAG@Elkslodge616.org. We will add them to our agenda for discussion and possible action.
RFAG, as well as our other Advisory groups–ITAG, MRAG and Financial Group–will be reviewing the member survey results as a group to use as their base line for decision making. Members spoke loud and clear in the survey as we had 1,333 responses out of approximately 4000 members. The overwhelming response (33%) clearly provides a road map for actionable items. We are here for the members and will address the majority’s concerns as legally and as feasibly possible!
For our new Members, we have an I.T. Advisory Group (ITAG) and the Members Renovations Group (MRAG) that meet on a regular basis. MRAG led the renovations with support of ITAG for any I.T. related infrastructure. It was their combined leadership that got us where we are today. The goal now is to take it to the next level!
